Don’t even try telling me that “hungry” isn’t an emotion because I feel it deep down in my soul!
It’s no secret that Bali is very much known for their amazing food. If you haven’t been to Bali, you might be thinking: “Well, it can’t be that good?”… No, you’re right… IT’S BETTER!!
So, as you might know, Martin and I spend our honeymoon in Bali. Bali is the perfect destination for so many reasons, and I could talk for days about this beautiful place on earth. Do not worry, I’ll control myself and instead I want to share some of my favorite places to eat in Seminyak.
When we landed in Bali, we went straight to Seminyak. Here we spend the first couple of days, eating, being in love, and eating some more. One of the best things about traveling is trying out local food.
Let me just tell you about the food in Bali. It’s fresh, it’s healthy, it’s tasty, and it’s cheap. What else could one ask for? You wanna know where to find the best cafaés in Seminyak?
Okay, let’s get started!
Sisterfields was the first food stop on our first day. We went here as soon as they opened as I woke up at 5 am (thanks jetlag – always a pleasure).
First of all, the food is simply just amazing. It’s very tasteful and the servings are absolutely appealing. The whole interior in the cafe is aesthetically pleasing. Even the restrooms are fun and playful in a lovely way, just the right spot for a selfie.
The big selection on the menu makes it a challenge to choose. The matcha latte and the pancakes are absolutely something I would come back for another time.
No reservation is needed, just drop in.
Open from 8 am to 9 pm every day.

Kind Community is a very popular cafe and for very good reasons. This place serves incredible plant-based food. Their smoothie bowls and avocado toasts are ten out of ten and I highly recommend trying it out. All the meals in general are very colorful and delicious. They are very much known for cutting out words in fruit (As seen in the picture bellow) and you can request a special word if you want your food more personalized. Of course, we asked for one saying: “honeymoon”.
The cafe is cute and very Insta-worthy, thanks to the food, but also the famous pink wall.
Their straws and spoons are gold and very beautiful. We actually found out that you can purchase them at the cafe, just ask for it. I wish I’d known that before we left.
They also offer an online cooking class, so if you need some new inspiration and cooking skills when it comes to plant based food, this is for you. Read more here! I’m definitely going to do this one day, so I can eat like this at home, haha!
The only downside is that the café is right next to the main road, which makes it noisy when you are seated outside.
Be aware that this place can be very busy.
Open from 8 am to 10 pm every day.

This place serves vegetarian/vegan food that makes your soul sing. Their selection of beverages is huge, which makes it hard to choose. Their Nourish Bowl is very tasteful, as well as the Falafel Pocket. Let me just tell you though… The blue Mermaid latte looks better than it tastes. Martin ordered one and could barely finish it. So maybe just try out some of all the other appetizing drinks and skip this one.
No reservation is needed, just drop in.
Open from 8 am to 4 pm every day.

We randomly walked past this cute ice cream shop one evening and the pink neon sign caught our attention.
Here you can buy both vegan popsicles with lots of different flavors and non-dairy ice cream made with cold pressed coconuts. Hands down, it tastes INCREDIBLE and is exactly what you need on a warm summer day or night (I’m totally drooling as I’m writing this, haha).
The food in Bali is beyond heaven. The cafes mentioned above is just a small selection of all the amazing spots to choose from. Just trying out all the different food is an experience in itself and is definitely a part of travelling Bali, at least if you ask us.
